Tiny® is de nieuwste toevoeging aan de Separett toiletfamilie. Het compacte ontwerp en tientallen jaren ervaring hebben geresulteerd in een modern urineafvoertoilet dat bijzonder geschikt is voor installaties met beperkte ruimte. Deze versie van Tiny® heeft een opvangbak voor zowel vaste stoffen als vloeistoffen, waardoor het een zelfstandig toilet is. Dit maakt installatie in busjes, boten en andere mobiele oplossingen mogelijk waar externe afvalverwerking niet mogelijk is.
Het toilet kan worden gevoed met 230 V of met 12 V zonnecellen/batterijen. De ventilator heeft een zeer laag energieverbruik (0,04 kWh / 24 h) en is daarom geschikt voor gebruik op batterijen of zonnecellen. De batterij en batterijkabel zijn niet inbegrepen.
In tegenstelling tot een conventioneel composttoilet is er geen slinger of andere accessoires nodig. De ADA-conforme zithoogte van 44,5 cm maakt de Tiny® net zo comfortabel als een gewoon toilet. Separett Tiny® is de beste toiletoplossing voor busjes, tiny houses, campers, boten en off-grid-woningen.

Gemakkelijk te legen en uitbreidbaar
Dankzij de urinescheiding wordt de geur aanzienlijk verminderd. Alleen de afvoerlucht stroomt uit de 38 mm ventilatiebuis (schema 20). Bij gebruik door twee personen hoeft de container voor vaste stoffen ongeveer één keer per week te worden geleegd. De urinecontainer moet ongeveer om de dag worden geleegd. Zowel de container voor vaste stoffen als de container voor vloeistoffen zijn voorzien van bijpassende deksels of doppen waarmee ze veilig kunnen worden afgesloten. Voor booteigenaren of mensen die meerdere dagen weg zijn voordat ze hun afval weggooien, is het raadzaam om meerdere containers te gebruiken die kunnen worden afgesloten en bewaard tot ze leeg zijn. Extra containers zijn verkrijgbaar als accessoire.
Hygiënisch en geurloos
Separett Tiny® biedt een hoge bedrijfszekerheid en is eenvoudig te installeren. De ventilator verwijdert eventuele restgeuren die na het scheiden van urine achterblijven. De continu draaiende ventilator verbetert bovendien het binnenklimaat door de luchtcirculatie te bevorderen. De ventilator is efficiënt en stil.
Comfortabel
De privacyklep verbergt de afvalbak en de kleppen gaan automatisch open zodra je op het toilet gaat zitten. Zo zie je de afvalbak alleen wanneer je hem moet legen.

Separett Tiny stelt geen eisen aan de kamertemperatuur en werkt in zowel koude als warme ruimtes. De enige vereiste is dat er een ventilatiekanaal kan worden geïnstalleerd.
Het toilet is ontworpen om op de vloer tegen een muur te worden geplaatst. Voor extra stabiliteit moet het aan de vloer, de muur of beide worden bevestigd.
Boor gaten volgens installatiesjabloon
De installatie-instructies tonen verschillende installatiemogelijkheden voor de urineafvoer en ventilatiebuis door de muur, het plafond of de vloer. De installatiesjabloon bevat markeringen voor de meest voorkomende installatievarianten. Deze opties maken installatie zonder zichtbare leidingen mogelijk.
Ventilatiebuis installeren
Het toilet is ontworpen voor leidingen met een diameter van 50 mm. Voor een optimale werking adviseren wij de Separett installatiekit te gebruiken, die leidingen en aansluitingen met de juiste afmetingen bevat. De Separett Tiny kan worden geïnstalleerd met maximaal 5 meter ventilatieleiding en twee bochten van 90 graden. De afvoerlucht kan via een muur, vloer of plafond worden afgevoerd, bijvoorbeeld naar een zolder en van daaruit via een geschikte zijkant van het huis naar buiten. Indien er al een ventilatieleiding van een eerder geïnstalleerd toilet aanwezig is, kan het toilet hierop worden aangesloten, mits de leidingdiameter minimaal 50 mm is en aan de overige eisen voldoet. Indien een langere leiding nodig is, kan een extra ventilator (artikelnummer 13008) worden geïnstalleerd.

Veel mensen gooien hun toiletafval op dezelfde manier weg als luiers. Het is ook mogelijk om het te composteren en om te zetten in voedingsrijke humus.
Houd er rekening mee dat het afval niet gecomposteerd is wanneer u de container leegt. Menselijke ontlasting moet minimaal 6 maanden, idealiter 12 maanden, gecomposteerd worden om ziekteverwekkers betrouwbaar te elimineren. Het mengen van tuinafval, keukenafval en toiletafval versnelt het composteringsproces en verbetert de resultaten. Een goede vuistregel is om minimaal 110 liter per persoon te gebruiken en twee containers te gebruiken – op deze manier kan de ene container blijven staan terwijl de andere in gebruik is.
Gebruik altijd een afgesloten bak of een bak met een lekbak om morsen te voorkomen. Zorg ervoor dat de bak een stevig deksel en goede ventilatieroosters heeft om knaagdieren, insecten en regenwater buiten te houden.
Geen roerwerk of constructiemateriaal nodig
Veel composttoiletten op de markt zijn uitgerust met een roerwerk. Effectief composteren vereist echter aanzienlijk meer volume en hogere temperaturen dan deze compacte toiletten bieden. Daarom is een roerwerk niet nodig voor apparaten van dit formaat.
Roerwerken bevatten ook onderdelen die direct in contact komen met het afval. Dit maakt het reinigen complexer en vergroot het risico op mechanische storingen.
Separett-toiletten blijven geurvrij dankzij een efficiënte ventilator – zonder dat er constructiemateriaal of beweging nodig is. Sterker nog, het toevoegen van constructiemateriaal kan ervoor zorgen dat de container voor vaste stoffen sneller vol raakt en de ventilator mogelijk beschadigd raakt, omdat fijnstofdeeltjes in het ventilatiesysteem terecht kunnen komen.

De geïntegreerde urinecontainer is eenvoudig te verwijderen en te vervoeren, waardoor u de container gemakkelijk en flexibel kunt legen. De meeste gebruikers legen de container in een conventioneel toilet, een aangewezen grijswatersysteem of op een geschikte buitenlocatie, conform de lokale regelgeving.

Als u stationair draait en uw afval buitenshuis wilt afvoeren, zorg er dan voor dat u zich aan de plaatselijke regelgeving houdt met betrekking tot de afvoer van afvalwater en het gebruik van grijs water. Zo zorgt u ervoor dat de afvoer veilig en verantwoord verloopt.

We installed the Separett Tiny toilet with urine container in our "tiny house on wheels" and have been using it for a little over a month now. While this is the only "compost" separating toilet we've used, we are quite pleased with it so far! We really like how it looks and fits in our bathroom too. For the installation, we did have to get a 1-1/2” flexible coupling and a short piece of 1-1/2” PVC pipe, since the provided vent pipe wasn’t long enough to reach where we needed it to go out through the wall. When we placed the order, it did feel like this product was more expensive than it should be. While we still feel that it was a steep price, that feeling is counteracted a bit by a few things: the toilet does seem well-made and durable, it has multiple valuable features, and Separett's customer service has been excellent.
Not every compost/separating toilet on the market has the "view screen" that keeps the solids container covered and hidden unless you are sitting on the toilet, which is a very nice feature to have. The fan that runs all the time is incredibly quiet and clearly works well, as we haven't noticed any issues with smells so far (other than when it comes time to empty the containers, of course. The odors involved with emptying both containers are unpleasant for sure, but that's a tradeoff for so much less water use and not needing a black water tank). We also use a spray bottle with a water-vinegar mixture to clean out the front/urine section of the toilet with a few sprays after each use. The red indicator light to show when the urine container is almost full is an absolute must-have, so we are very grateful for that too. It is a nice and bright red light, so there's no way to miss it, and you can safely go one more time after the light comes on before it has to be emptied.
The size/capacity of the urine and solids containers seems appropriate. From our research, they are somewhere in the middle amongst other separating toilets on the market. With the two of us using the toilet, the solids container usually needs to be emptied about once per week. The urine container needs to be emptied once every other day. On one hand, it would be nice if the urine container were slightly larger and could last a little longer, but it is already somewhat heavy when full (especially depending how far you have to go to empty it) and being fairly slow and smelly to empty, we wouldn't want that process taking too much longer. So, emptying that every other day seems reasonable to us.
Separett's customer service has certainly been top-notch. When we first received the toilet, the "view screen" wasn't closing all the way properly, and after sending an email, they were quick to reply with a link to a very helpful instructional video showing how to use certain adjustment screws inside the toilet to correct the issue. When we were having an issue with some urine leakage (yes, this was very disappointing and unpleasant, but we got it resolved quickly. Also, due to the design of the toilet, all the spills stayed contained inside the body of the toilet and didn't get onto our floor or anywhere else), they were again quick to reply to my emails and problem solve until we figured out a solution. It turned out that the urine nozzle we had on our toilet was a bad design, and that has since been fixed, so all the toilets now come with an upgraded urine nozzle (which they also sent out to us).
There are a few things we wish could be improved. The large yellow cap (that is used to cover the urine gasket/fill spot when you go to empty the urine container) has consistently been very stiff/awkward to **** on and off. This is most unfortunate after you have emptied the urine container and go to remove that large yellow cap, because it ends up with a little liquid in that cap, so it's challenging to remove smoothly/carefully to avoid a small spill/mess. It would be nice if the urine fill port and the urine empty spout had a slightly larger gap in between for easier cleaning. We chose to use the “urine bowl extension” piece, but it does get dirty under the edges of that quickly. We clean it off almost every time we empty the urine container, but it is already starting to stain there ,unfortunately. Lastly, we were spoiled and used to soft-close toilet seats before this, so it would have been nice if this had a soft-close lid, but definitely not a big deal to get used to not having that.
As long as this toilet holds up well and continues to function properly for a long time to come, we will be very happy with our purchase and choice of compost/separating toilet, and would definitely recommend this product to others!

We have had the Separette diverting toilet in our van for a couple of years now, and let me tell you it is a game changer. Installation was simple because it only required a 12v power source and a hole for the exhaust vent. Maintenance is easy as it does not need any chemicals or special products.
We use our van almost every week for camping trips, and most recently lived in it for 6 months.
The toilet has performed flawlessly and does not smell. Basic maintenance includes rinsing the urine container with vinegar from time to time, and pouring sand or kitty litter in the solids container after every use.
The only part that has worn in all this time was the rubber gasket at the top of the urine container. When I went to look up a replacement part, I saw they had an upgrade. The upgrade includes a better shaped funnel and a way to prevent the front from depressing. With this upgrade I’m looking forward to many more years of maintenance free use.
